Dynamics of Onboard Gravity Gradiometers

The paper addresses the dynamics of on-board gravity gradiometers for measuring the second derivatives of the geopotential. Mathematical models of accelerometer and dumbbell versions of the devices are developed, and their instrumental errors are analyzed .
