Zusammenfassung:Polycrystalline sample of Magnesium-Pellyite: Ba2CaMg2Si6O17 was synthesized using solid state reaction method. The sample was dealt with room temperature X-ray diffraction and electrical studies. The X-ray diffraction experiment was carried out on the powder sample in order to characterize the material at room temperature. The indexed X-ray diffraction pattern indicates the formation of single phase compound in orthorhombic crystal structure with space group Cmcm. The lattice parameters, atomic position of the atoms, bond distances and other structural parameters of the sample were determined from Rietveld refinement of X-ray diffraction data. The real part of impedance is showing systematic variation with frequency.
