New complexes of pectic polysaccharides with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs

The formation of stable complexes of citrus pectin with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, ibuprofen and acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin), was confirmed by IR and NMR spectro scopy. The stoichiometry of complexes with the maximum content of drugs (15 wt. %) was established. A comparative study of t...

Zusammenfassung:The formation of stable complexes of citrus pectin with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, ibuprofen and acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin), was confirmed by IR and NMR spectro scopy. The stoichiometry of complexes with the maximum content of drugs (15 wt. %) was established. A comparative study of the thermal decomposition of pectin and the synthesized complexes with ibuprofen and acetylsalicylic acid was performed by TG/DSC.
