Zusammenfassung: | Not only does this mean we can explore the sociological developments that have taken place in academic geography, but the need to carry out fieldwork as part of the independent investigation, also referred to as the non-examined assessment (NEA), has spawned a multitude of possible 'place' projects. In future I would ask the students to research their persona in advance of the field trip so they had more of an idea what they should be looking for in the field - the demands of the NEA make this pre-research a vital part of their preparation.
