Zusammenfassung: | According to Pirie-Kieren, the understanding layer has 8 layers. They are: primitive knowing, image making, image having, property noticing, formalising, observing, structuring, and inventising. The purpose of this study is to describe folding back of a Kepanjen Islamic High School student in solving the function problems and their intervention. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The subject of this study was a high-ability student in class X of Kepanjen Islamic High School. The data instruments were researcher, the test, and interview guide sheet. The interview was used to find out more about folding back student. According to the results of the study, it was found that subjects folded back when they solved the function problem. Furthermore, the subject also received various interventions based on Piere & Kieren’s theory. Suggestions for further research are the need to characterize interventions at each level of understanding. |
