Zusammenfassung: | The article presents an attempt to assess the effectiveness of deflectors to control the heat exchange in the channel behind the backward facing step. Deflectors may be used to control the position of the heat transfer maxima. If there is a need in the maximum heat sink near the step wall, the best is a flat deflector perpendicular to the flow. The use of all considered deflectors leads to increased hydraulic losses, and in terms of thermal-hydraulic efficiency, all studied deflectors are less effective. |
