Zusammenfassung: | A letter to the editor and a reply are presented related to the article on the creation of a registry to address knowledge gaps in hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) and pregnancy. Even though HS disproportionately affects women of reproductive age, there remain significant knowledge gaps regarding the effect of HS and its management on fertility, pregnancy, and maternal and fetal outcomes. Other chronic inflammatory diseases have been shown to affect pregnancy in important ways, including by increasing rates of preterm birth and pregnancy loss. |
