Zusammenfassung:We performed this meta‐analysis to explore associations between folate metabolism enzyme polymorphisms and breast cancer (BC) in a larger pooled population. Systematic literature research was performed to identify eligible studies for pooled analyses. Totally 92 genetic association studies were included for analyses. The pooled analyses revealed significant findings for MTRR rs1801394 polymorphism in South Asians, for MTR rs1805087 polymorphism in Caucasians and East Asians, and for MTHFR rs1801133 polymorphism in East Asians. In conclusion, the present meta‐analysis indicated that MTRR rs1801394, MTR rs1805087, and MTHFR rs1801133 polymorphisms could be used to identify individuals at high risk of developing BC.
