Zusammenfassung:While there are numerous diseases of the thoracic aorta, the two most commonly encountered clinical conditions are dissection and aneurysms. Classic surgical treatment of these conditions is difficult for patients because of its high mortality and morbidity rates, as well as being tiring and laborious for the surgeon. Endovascular methods are therefore becoming increasingly popular in the treatment of these diseases.
