Evaluating the potential of office robotics

This article combines a literature survey with a reasoned analysis of the current trends in robotics, with a view to initiating thought and research into the impact of robotics on office work and on management information systems. Its most important conclusion is that the models of reality embedded in current management information and control systems suffer from fundamental conceptual restrictions which advances in robotics could remove.
