Zusammenfassung:Recent articles have suggested the use of linear programming (LP) to capture the policy used by an assessor in performance appraisal (PA). This paper shows the power of the LP approach to policy capturing (PC) and suggests that only a small subset of all assessees needs to be ranked by the assessor in order to induce a satisfactory ranking of the entire set. This result leads to a very simple interactive method for PA.
