Control of the third-harmonic generation efficiency upon interaction of few-cycle waves in nonlinear media
It is shown that the interaction of few-cycle waves propagating at an angle to each other in media with instantaneous cubic nonlinearity may lead to a considerable increase in the third-harmonic generation efficiency without energy redistribution between the intersecting beams with a wide spectrum.
