Zusammenfassung:Biotopic relations of the larvae of nine species of the flower fly genus Brachyopa Meigen, 1822 with primary (aggressive) and ambrosia xylophagous insects, as well as with phloeophages are revealed. Brachyopa larvae mainly feed on fresh liquid sap accumulated on damaged tree trunks. The main and additional habitats for larval development are considered for the first time.
