Chemoprevention of Rat Prostate Carcinogenesis by Use of Finasteride or Casodex

A large-scale clinical trial for chemoprevention of prostate cancer that was designed to take advantage of the androgen dependency of this cancer is described. The results provide support for the use of finasteride in the chemoprevention of prostate cancer.
