Zusammenfassung:A partially albinistic northern short-tailed shrew (Blarina brevicauda) was captured in deciduous forest in S-central Virginia. This coat color pattern in a B. brevicauda, as well as examples of bold white coloration in other species of shrews and rodents, provides additional evidence that pattern formation in mammals is not size-dependent.
