Zusammenfassung: | Kennedy et al provide information with regard to the effects of treatments in people with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Among other things, one systematic review found limited evidence for low to moderate quality randomized controlled trials that antidepressants reduced symptoms of IBS compared with placebo in the short term. It's not clear whether the effects on IBS were independent of the effects on psychological symptoms. |
