Disseminated Penicillium marneffei Infection Associated with Human Immunodeficiency Virus: A Report of Two Cases and a Review of 35 Published Cases

Penicillium marneffei, a dimorphic fungus that is endemic in southeast Asia, causes deep-seated infection in humans and rodents. A review of the literature and two additional cases in HIV patients are discussed.
