Zusammenfassung: | We propose the model of a harmonically mode-locked soliton fiber ring laser based on the nonlinear polarization rotation taking into account the gain depletion and recovery effects. It is shown that a specific timing jitter could arise in such lasers, since the pulses in the cavity are not strongly identical. To suppress the jitter and stabilize the harmonic mode-locking operation, a method using a small frequency shift followed by the laser radiation filtering is described. The performed numerical simulation shows that the proposed method is able to provide extremely stable harmonic mode locking in a soliton fiber ring laser. |
