Zusammenfassung: | A study is presented which determines whether participation and interprofessional education provided at a student-faculty collaborative clinic during the preclinical year raised confidence among students. A student-faculty collaborative clinic is an educational volunteer experience coordinated by students under the guidance of board-certified licensed faculty. The unique environment enables students provide care directly to patients, help them link their education to practice and exposes them to leadership, procedural skills and system-based practices. The study finds out that the paired preceptor-student team learning model has benefits that cannot be ignored. |
