Serotonin induces Cl(negative) secretion in human jejunal mucosa in vitro via a nonneural pathway at a 5-HT(4) receptor

The actions of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) on transport of NAplus and Clnegative in the human jejunal mucosa in vitro were examined, and the pathways mediating the action of 5-HT in producing changes in electrolyte flux were studied.
