Zusammenfassung: | Examines logistical systems has being responsive to economic
climate and market requirements using two compounds as examples.
Considers the problem scope, analytical approaches and implementation
with regard to logistical systems. Identifies three problem areas which
form the basis of strategic logistical planning: (1) inventory policy;
(2) facility location; and (3) transport selection routeing. Proposes
that by recognizing these, the best way of implementing logistics
strategy within a company can be achieved, thus providing maximum
improvement and the highest level of efficiency in logistical
operations. |
