Zusammenfassung:The last few decades have seen rapid development in molecular science and technology. In this review, photofunctionalization of phthalocyanines (Pcs) is introduced from the viewpoint of biological applications and advanced materials, such as fluorescence probes, photodynamic therapy photosensitizers, photocontrollable magnetic materials, photoconductors, and heat shielding materials. These would be useful model cases for molecular functionalization.
