Zusammenfassung:As President Clinton's proposed Health Security Act and other plans evolve, the public is confronted with an overwhelming amount of information regarding choices, costs, and impacts, much of which is even difficult for those in the industry to decipher. To help the Hampton Roads, Virginia, community understand this information, 2 major entities and Chesapeake General Hospital formed a unique partnership to provide timely and valuable information on the issue at hand. Objectives of the joint venture - known as Health Care ReForum - were to increase the knowledge and understanding of the Clinton Health Security Act as well as other plans, their content and terminology, key issues facing Americans, and their impact on the community at large as well as individuals. Another goal was to initiate an informed dialog regarding the plans in the community.
