Testosterone-induced increase in muscle size in healthy young men is associated with muscle fiber hypertrophy

A study to determine whether testosterone-induced increase in muscle size is due to increase in muscle fiber area or number or both is described. It was concluded that the testosterone-induced increase in muscle volume was due to muscle fiber hypertrophy.
