Reciprocal GLUT-1 and GLUT-4 expression and glucose transport in denervated muscles
Since changes in GLUT-4 and GLUT-1 occur rapidly in denervated muscles, an experimental model is presented that may be used to examine the relationship, if any, between the concurrent changes in these glucose transporter isoforms in metabolically heterogeneous skeletal muscles.
