Effects of cortisol on lipolysis and regional interstitial glycerol levels in humans

The potential role of cortisol in the regulation of lipid metabolism is controversial. A study to examine the effect of an acute physiological elevation of circulating cortisol concentrations on systemic and regional adipose tissue is described.
