Stepwise degradation of NT in pars convoluta and recta of rabbit proximal tubules: Evidence of axial heterogeneity

Efforts to determine the pattern of degradation and reabsorption of neurotensin (NT) in individual rabbit proximal pars convoluta and pars recta nephron segments are described. Research offers the first evidence for a stepwise degradation of a linear peptide in the rabbit proximal tube.
