Zusammenfassung: | This article is taken from a symposium conducted in 1956 by the American Orthopsychiatric Association. The theme of the symposium was orthopsychiatry and prevention. As the author has tried to understand the purpose of the discussion and the request that he participate in it under the label of discussing epidemiology in relationship to orthopsychiatry and prevention, he has come to the conclusion that his job is to try to describe to this group what epidemiology is and what relationship it has to preventing disease. He gives a quick picture of what he thinks the field of epidemiology is and how it works. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2019 APA, all rights reserved) |
