)-2-tetradecylinene-3-hydroxy-4-ethoxy-4-methylbutanolide (
4
), together with five known compounds (
2
,
5–8
), were isolated from the roots of
Lindera chunii
. The structures of these compounds were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis and by comparison of the data with those of related secondary metabolites. The absolute configuration of
1
was identified by electronic circular dichroism (ECD) analysis. Compounds
5–8
were isolated from this plant for the first time. |
