Zusammenfassung:The CLA booth, located in the Exhibits Hall, was a popular gathering place on F riday and Saturday for current members and for countless interested NCTE attendees, who thumbed through past journal issues, examined the beautiful art pieces on display, spoke with current members, and, in many cases, formally joined our assembly. The CLA Master Class in Teaching Children's Literature, held on the Saturday evening of each NCTE, was a powerful and moving session that focused on the importance of voice and culture in teaching children's poetry at the university/college level. Sara K. Sterner from the University of Minnesota received the CLA Research Award for her study titled "A Post-Intentional Phenomenological Exploration of Reading Whitely," and Quintin R. Bostic III (Georgia State University) and Kathryn Will-Dugyak (University of Maine-Farmington) received Bonnie Campbell Hill National Literacy Leader Awards.
