Search for HIV and herpes Inhibitors among the derivatives of polyhedranee and pyridinecarboxylic acid

It was found that an adamantane derivative (5) inhibits HIV replication as azidothymidin but has immuitostimu/ative properties. The derivatives of isonicotinic acid (2) anil norbornane (4) manifest both antiherpes and immunostimu/ative activity.
