Zusammenfassung:Resonance Ionization Laser Ion Sources (RILIS) are efficient and element selective ion sources, which are well suited for radioactive ion beam facilities. Using TRIUMF's off-line laser ion source test stand with a system of tunable titanium sapphire (Ti:Sa) lasers, laser resonance ionization schemes for lutetium (Lu) and praseodymium (Pr) have been investigated with a particular focus on autoionizing states. New ionization schemes via Rydberg states and autoionizing states were found and compared at the off-line test stand. The data from on-line RILIS delivery of Lu radioactive isotopes is presented. [Display omitted] •New resonant ionization schemes for Lu and Pr have been found and compared.•Observed a temperature dependence of the ionization efficiency of Rydberg states of Lu•Rydberg state scheme was found infeasible on ion-guide laser-ion-source (IG-LIS).•Multi-photon ionization of molecules was observed with a 532 nm pulsed laser.
