Zusammenfassung:The effect of morphine sulfate on cocaine-induced coronary vasoconstriction in subjects who underwent cardiac catheterization was studied. Contrary to the hypothesis that a cocaine-morphine combination potentiates the deleterious effects of cocaine on the balance of myocardial oxygen supply and demand, morphine sulfate reverses cocaine-induced coronary arterial vasoconstriction and does not further alter oxygen demand.
