Zusammenfassung:The structure of the dinuclear Fe(II) complex [Fe2(OH)2(LBu)]2+ (1) was determined by X-ray crystallography, where LBu is N,N,N′,N′-tetrakis(6-methyl-2-pyridylmethyl)-1,4-diaminobutane. The compound crystallizes in a monoclinic space group, P21/a, with a = 21.678(3), b = 16.3791(16), c = 22.447(3)Å, β = 111.522(2)°, Z = 4, V = 7414.5(14)Å3. The R1 [I > 2σ(I)] and wR2 (all data) values were 0.0474 and 0.1274, respectively, for all 16779 independent reflections. The complex has a bis(μ-hydroxo)diiron core structure.
