Naturally occurring ferric iron sanidine from the Leucite Hills lamproite
The Leucite Hills feldspars described here have the most Fe-rich, naturally-occurring compositions yet recorded, in which up to 70 mol% of the KAlSi3O8 molecule is replaced by K Fe3+Si3O8.
