Distortion of the Ligand Environment of Gd3+ and Eu2+ Ions in Garnets: Y3Al5O12, Lu3Al5O12, and Y3Ga5O12

Using experimental second-rank parameters of the spin Hamiltonian of the rhombic centers Gd 3+ and Eu 2+ in three garnets and the superposition approximation formalism, relaxation of the nearest environment of impurity ions is estimated.
