Zusammenfassung:	A reaction of 5-amino-6-( tert -butyl- NNO -azoxy)-1,2,3,4-tetrazine 1,3-dioxide with nitronium tetrafluoroborate affords 5-amino-6-(nitro- NNO -azoxy)-1,2,3,4-tetrazine 1,3-dioxide, which can be of interest as an energetic compound. A plausible mechanism of its formation involves substitutive nitration of the tert -butyl group.
