Zusammenfassung: | Evidence suggests that diets low in saturated fat and cholesterol but containing lean meats, ample plant-based foods and low-fat dairy are associated with lower risk for chronic diseases. Here, an abstract of Doe et al's study that aimed to design an effective curriculum emphasizing benefits of plant-based proteins for SNAP-eligible adults is presented. Moreover, the said study concluded that SNAP-eligible adults appear receptive to plant-based dietary messages using a curriculum that explains "why" as well as "how". However, this study is still awaiting final outcome evaluation. |
