Autonomic reactivity and hormonal secretion in lactate-induced panic attacks

A study compared the effects of a sodium lactate-induced panic attack on cardiovascular functioning. Data indicate that lactate-induced panic attacks enhance the release of the vasodilator atrial natriuretic hormone.
