Morphometry and muscle gene expression in hypertrophied hearts from polyomavirus large T antigen transgenic mice

In a study, morphometric analysis identified cardiomyocytes enlarged in adult trangenic hearts of mice. Further study and analysis indicate that transgenic hearts display histological and molecular changes similar to those found in hypertrophy induced by pressure overload in vivo.
