Determination of myoglobin saturation of frozen specimens using a reflecting cryospectrophotometer

A method and the instrumentation for determining myoglobin oxygen saturation in skeletal muscle are described. The myoglobin saturation is determined using epi-illumination and a four-wavelength optical method.
