AE anion exchangers in atrial tumor cells
Intracellular pH homeostasis and intracellular Cl- concentration in cardiac myocytes are regulated by anion exchange mechanisms. In physiological extracellular Cl- concentrations, Cl-/HCO- exchange promotes intracellular acidification and Cl- loading sensitive to inhibition by stilbene disulfonates.
