Coronary and total peripheral resistance changes during sleep in a porcine model
Zinkovska et al explore the implications of changes in autonomic tone in the vasculature during sleep on silent ischemia and sudden cardiac death. Results suggest that power in the high-frequency range was lower in REM sleep than NREM sleep.
