Conductance catheter measurement of left ventricular volume: evidence for nonlinearity within cardiac cycle

A study using the conductance catheter technique of determining left ventricular (LV) volume in minipigs is presented. The results indicate that alpha is inversely related to LV volume within the cardiac cycle.
