Zusammenfassung: | The importance of the analytical trend in the development of Indo-European languages is comparable to that of the transition from OV to VO, with the difference that the passage is accomplished at the time of more or less old languages, while the analytical trend can also differentiate the development of modern languages. The link between the analytical trend and the development of certain forms and functions is manifested by the following regularity: the stronger the analytical tendency, the more they are evolved. Eg. the passive, the infinitive have been non-existent in the oldest Indo-European languages, while in the Slavic languages they already enjoy a considerable frequency, but much more limited than in the Romance and Germanic languages. |
