Zusammenfassung:•Enhancement of transient stability of DFIG based WG using proposed NSFCL.•NSFCL is capable of enhancing the transient stability for balanced/unbalanced faults.•NSFCL maintain the voltage level ± 0.1 p.u. of the nominal value at PCC point.•Proposed NSFCL is compared with the BFCL, DC resistive SFCL and SDBR.•From all simulation results it can be stated that the NSFCL works better than the DC resistive SFCL, BFCL and SDBR in all aspect.
