Zusammenfassung:A new oxovanadium(V) complex [VO(BH)(EM)], where BH = N′ -(2-hydroxybenzylidene)-4-trifluoromethylbenzohydrazide, EM = ethyl maltol, is synthesized and fully characterized based on the elemental analysis, FT-IR, UV-Vis, and 1 H NMR spectra. The complex is also characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, which indicates that the V atom adopts the octahedral coordination. The hydrazone ligand behaves as a tridentate ligand, and the ethyl maltol ligand behaves as a bidentate ligand. The catalytic epoxidation property of the complex is investigated.
