Zusammenfassung:The results are presented of a national survey of 433 American business travelers. Profiles are contrasted of moderate (infrequent) and heavy (frequent) business travelers. Six groups of questions were used to evaluate the following areas: 1. demographic information, 2. general travel and hotel usage habits, 3. importance of attributes of hotel selection, 4. usage of hotel services, 5. frequent guest program, and 6. levels of satisfaction and dissatisfaction. Items that business travelers perceive as very important include: 1. convenience to business, 2. a good reputation, 3. friendly staff, 4. clean and comfortable surroundings, 5. safety and security, and 6. on-premise parking. The frequent and infrequent business traveler share many of the same characteristics. However, on the average, the frequent business traveler tends to have a higher annual income, be male, and work for a larger company.
