Jewish Organisations' Response to Communism and to Senator McCarthy

[...] Jewish organizations as the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the American Jewish Committee (AJC), and the American Jewish Congress (AJCongress) realized that they needed to take a stand against communism and to prove themselves to be patriotic Americans so as to avoid public opinion linking Jews with communism.
