Peculiarities of the Interaction of Calcium Hydroxyapatite and Carbon Nanotubes Deposited from Aqueous Solutions

The codeposition of calcium salts, phosphorus, and multiwall carbon nanotubes (CNTs) from aqueous solutions in the Ca(OH) 2 –H 3 PO 4 –H 2 O–CNT system was used to obtain composite materials based on nanocrystalline calcium hydroxyapatite Ca 10 (PO 4 ) 6 (OH) 2 (NCHA) and CNTs, containing 0.1, 1, an...

Zusammenfassung:The codeposition of calcium salts, phosphorus, and multiwall carbon nanotubes (CNTs) from aqueous solutions in the Ca(OH) 2 –H 3 PO 4 –H 2 O–CNT system was used to obtain composite materials based on nanocrystalline calcium hydroxyapatite Ca 10 (PO 4 ) 6 (OH) 2 (NCHA) and CNTs, containing 0.1, 1, and 5 mass % CNTs. The influence of CNT content on the particle size, morphology, and solubility of NCHA in HA/CNT composite was studied, which models the CNT effect on the process of biomineralization in native calcium phosphates.
